I have no information about the church or the man it was named after. Information gratefully received.The White Tower was originally known as The Red Tower after the bloody massacre that took place in it (it was a prison) in the 1800’s. In 1912 after the Balkan War the Greeks painted it white as a cleansing. It’s now a museum and is buff colored!
